New links means less adblocks!

In this blogpost will talk about one of the challenges that some webmasters face and what we did to overcome them.

We know that several adblocks might be blocking some of our promo tools, but not to worry, we have solved the issue and you can now continue using those promo tools to convert users into paying members.

As time goes on and the internet constantly evolves with it, certain methods of advertising have become harder and trickier to allow webmasters to earn commissions.

It is our well-known enemy, the adblockers, that try to make spammy sites more user friendly. However, these adblockers also get more aggressive and disable users from being able to see content that they might actually enjoy.

It is because of those adblockers that we have adapted and overcome this issue when it comes to our promo tools.

Below you can find out which promo tools are affected, whether or not you need to do anything about it, simple instructions for how to bypass this issue, and finally, how you can go on about your business.

Who is affected?

If you’ve been using any of the promo tools below, you may want to pay attention:

  • Popunder
  • Banner
  • Gif banner
  • Video banner pro
  • Discount tool
  • Slide-in
  • Image scroller
  • iframe
  • Custom iframe
  • Redirect tool
  • Model feed
  • Model status

Who is affected?

If you’ve been using any of the promo tools below, you may want to pay attention:

    ·
  • Popunder
  • ·
  • Banner
  • ·
  • Gif banner
  • ·
  • Video banner pro
  • ·
  • Discount tool
  • ·
  • Slide-in
  • ·
  • Image scroller
  • ·
  • iframe
  • ·
  • Custom iframe
  • ·
  • Redirect tool
  • ·
  • Model feed
  • ·
  • Model status

As mentioned earlier, you don’t need to worry as we’ve updated and improved these tools to bypass adblockers.

Right now, these tools (as the name adblocker suggests) are being blocked by some browsers through adblockers, meaning your viewers don’t get to see your promotion.

This also means you won’t be able to convert these viewers.

What you need to do?

Below you will find simple steps for each of the different promo tools.

  • Example 1 – Popunders

If you are using one of the popunders to promote LiveJasmin or your Whitelabel this is what you need to do:

On the site(s) where you have embedded our popunder script, look for the part on the script: “awcrpu.com" and now simply replace it with “awptlpu.com”

  • Example 2 – Banners, GIF banners

Similar to the first example, if you are using the promo tool Banner, Gif banner to promote LiveJasmin or your Whitelabel follow these instructions:

On the site(s) where you have embedded the above-mentioned promo tool script, look for the part on the script: “ptwmstc.com “which you need to replace with “awptlpu.com”

  • Example 3 – Video banner pro, Discount tool, Slide-in, Image scroller, Iframe, Custom iframe, Redirect tool, Model feed, Model status

Finally, if you are using one of those tools, head over to the site(s) on which you have embedded the script and look for this part: “potwm.com” and as in the previous two examples, simply replace it with “ptlwm.com”.

Now you are all set and ready to get back in business with your fresh links for fresh commissions.

See how simple that was? Simply find the right part and replace it with the updated code.

However, if you are unsure and worried you are messing up the code you can also generate an entirely brand-new script from the promo tools section in your dashboard on awempire.com

What’s next?

After checking and replacing those links you just need to keep on pushing traffic to where you are using this promo tools. That’s it!
